Mason....the baby boy of the family...coming in at just under 2 years old! It's hard to believe that my baby boy will be 2 in just a few short weeks! He is still such a little snuggle bug & carries his green blanket "yum, yum" everywhere he goes! Love that little snuggler!!

Jackson...my sweet little 6 year old! He is such a great example for an older brother! I am so blessed to have him teach the two younger boys!! He is big time stuff now...kindergartner & loving it! He has a great teacher & great friends!! Crazy how fast 6 years has gone!!

What a wonderful holiday halloween is! I just LOVE it! The 3 boys were batman & I am pretty sure this will be the only year when all 3 boys are dressed alike, so I took lots & lots of photos!! It was so fun to watch the boys go trick or treating! They were so excited! I am pretty sure Mason would not have gone, but he saw his brothers getting hooked up with candy, so he decided he would give trick or treating a try! After every house, he was so excited he just wanted to eat the candy right then & there! Jack wanted to be the first to every house & Blake did well at keeping up!! We got together with a few other families & had dinner & let the kids run around & play.

Okay, a few of you avid bloggers have been complaining that it has been a year since I updated my blog. I guess it is time!! Crazy to think that my little Jackson....my first born....is now a kindergartener!! The first few weeks he would tear up every time I dropped him

off, & so of course, I would tear up as well! That has all changed now! He is a pro at going to school! Has lots of friends & truly enjoys it!!

I can't believe how old my kids are!! Little Mason is crawling all over the place and getting into trouble, Blake is potty trained & such a fan of Mason, Jackson started preschool, and being the oldest, knows the mostest :), Brandon is working most of his days away from home which is sad for the family, but great for getting the business on its feet, & me...mommy of 3 little boys...I am still teaching at Gold's Gym & loving it! Just started Zumba which is an amazing dance class! So there you have it! A small update of the fam in the past few months! Now, I am going to sleep because I always stay up way to late & most of the time it is because I am messing around on the internet! Way too many things to catch up on!!

Who would have ever guessed that Brandon and I would celebrate our 8th anniversary with three boys?? The years have been wonderful to us! We have had a blast growing together as we learn how to raise these three little ones and stay sain! We love them to pieces and in many ways the boys bring Brandon and I closer!

Jackson has been waiting for this day to come! I made him a monster truck cake and it turned out okay! He loved it. At the end of the day he said, "Mom, thanks for giving me a birthday party." That made it all worthwhile!

Yes, even in North Dakota, we occassionally get weather that is warm enough for slipin and slidin! My boys were so excited to run around and get wet! I remember spending hours on the slip and slide as a little girl! It's fun to live those memories again through my kids!

So, we had one of those rough days where everyone was just a little bit exhausted. I came home after dealing with tantrums galore at the store and we just sat on the coach for a minute and both boys just passed out! Not stinkers anymore, are they!!

This is how we told Grandma Carr that we were pregnant with #3. She noticed right away and the boys were excited about their car shirts. Jackson said he wanted another brother, but maybe one that doesn't sleep as much as Blake does!

Jackson and I made these chairs during one of Blake's naps. We used cardboard boxes, old scrapbook paper and modgepodge. They were fun to make, but now I have these two honking chairs that don't look very good and take up a lot of space. Oh well. The memories!!!

The boys now share a room! We decided we better start now so that when Baby comes, Blake is all adjusted to a big boy bed! He looks so big in that bed! It is so sad to see his little empty crib, but so cute to see those two sharing a room. They usually stay up and chat for a while before going to sleep!!

Early Easter

We had a great time on Saturday, March 15th, 2008. We started the morning going to the Gateway Mall for some really chaotic Easter Candy hunting. Jackson would sit on the Easter bunny's lap, but Blake wanted nothing to do with that huge, scary looking creature!! Then Brandon stayed home while Blake took a nap and Jackson and I met up with some friends at the zoo and had a blast hunting for more Easter eggs! I love holidays. It is soooo much fun with little kids! They get so excited.

This is Jackson's little freind, Payton. She is such a doll and the two get along so well. She might look like a "girlie girl" but she can definately keep up with Jackson!

Blake had a blast as well. I always went down with him because I knew he wouldn't be able to steer if he headed toward a tree! He would patiently wait his turn while brother went. He is starting to get more use to being bundled up like a marshmellow. He use to hate it, but now he realizes how fun it can be. It is hilarious when he falls because he usually needs help getting back up!

Jackson had sooo much fun! He never got tired of hauling the sled back up the hill so that brother could have a turn! He is such a trooper! It is always such a pain in the rearend to get everyone bundled up, but we always have a blast!

We are truly enjoying life! Brandon is working hard at his new business in Agricultural and Civil Engineering and I am working hard at raising these crazy boys! This pic was taken right before Thanksgiving of 2007...right before Eddie chopped my hair off as you see in the following pics!

My boys are so much fun. Jackson is 3 and Blake is 18 months. I can't imagine life without their sweet little spirits pitter pattering around the house. They have so much energy and zest for life.

Aren't these too funny! Grandma Ames bought them these lights and they were running around the house with no lights on besides the ones on their heads! I love how Blake at 18 months already has his hands in his pants! What is it with boys? Anyway, Jackson and Blake give us so much joy every day.

Happy Halloween! Blake and Jackson went to a city carnival and then trick or treating to a couple of neigbors' homes. They had a blast together and ate tons and tons of candy!

The whole family was able to go to Michael Sousa's wedding in Missoula at Jan and Mike's beautiful ranch. We had a ball riding horses and playing in the creek.

Hey! This is the start of the Ames Family Blog and boy are we excited to be apart of it all! What blogging fun we will have. Ha! Ha! Just a refresher for those of you who already know, Brandon and Rachel were married March 10th of 2001 in Logan, Utah. Rachel graduated in Elementary Education and Brandon graduated in Civil Engineering with a second bachelor's degree in Business Administration (after one more online class he will be done with his second bachelor's degree). We currently have 2 boys....Jackson is the first born and turned 3 September 10th. He is a fireball and a never ending source of energy. He loves life and eats only because he has to. His diet consists of peanut buter, cereal, fruit, milk and juice. Blake on the other hand, turned 1 July 15th and he LOVES to eat. He would eat 3 breakfasts if you let him. He is our little snuggle bug and is always coming in for a quick hug as he is off to the next activity. Both boys thouroughly enjoy each other and love wrestling with their daddy. We love having their little spirits brighten up our home! Well, enough for now! I will see if I can figure out how to post a pic. Justen, I will probably be calling you soon to help me figure it out!
